For class today we peer reviewed annotated bibliographies within our writing groups. Annotated bibliographies can be helpful for keeping track of sources while writing a research paper and can help writing the work cited page at the end of the research paper. I had the pleasure of reading and editing Kianni's work.
I peer reviewed Kianni’s annotated bibliography for her project 1 research paper. For both of her citations, she needed to have the last names of her authors listed first, and she need to include the URL and date accessed. For Kianni’s first annotation, she did not introduce the source and authors, nor did she include a thesis. For the second paragraph, she did a nice job of summarizing the source, but she could have included a quotation. For the third paragraph, she compared the article to a general piece, not a specific source.
Kianni's second annotation was absolutely perfect. She introduced the source title and authors in the first paragraph. She summarized the article in the second paragraph. And she compared this source to her previous source in the third paragraph. She did everything correctly, and I advised her that she could make the first annotation similar to her second. She could also include a quotation in the second paragraph if she likes.
